Do you bring DC #1 with you to your Dr. appointments?

I've brought DD for a few appointments...it's easier if she isnt' there, but I don't mind her being there...especially now, when it's just checking baby's heartbeat, measuring my stomach and blood pressure, etc...

When DH comes (for sonos) DS is always there...I have kept him only maybe once or twice, but other than he comes along. WHen we get to internals...he will be home!

I have brought DD to almost all of them except sonos. I am not getting internals because I have a scheduled c so that is not an issue. She just sits in her stroller in the corner eating a snack and we are usually in and out so its fine. I always schedule them first thing in the morning or right after a nap so I am guaranteed a good mood from her. I am a SAHM with nobody to watch her during the day so I have to do it this way. Dr. has never minded.

DS came to all my appts, I had no other options. He was between 16 and 23 months from when they started till I delivered. Brought lots of toys and snacks to keep him entertained in his stroller.

i made the majority of my appts for saturdays, so DH always stayed home with DS. He came for my anatomy scan, though - SO cute - he kept saying "baaaayby!" and pointing at the screen. The tech gave him his own photo to take home, too.

yup, but only if my DH is there also.

DS just came to his first OB appt with me and got to hear the HB and he was SO excited! He was waving and yelling "hi my baby, I can hear you" It was SO cute!!!!

Usually she's with my mom, but I've brought her to 1 appt. She was great until I had to get up on the table. I think she got scared because she couldn't see what was going on (She was 14m).

I would like to bring her to my Level II so she can see the sono, but I don't think she'll "get it" anyway

I only bring DS when DH is there. He is a maniac right now and would never sit still (he's 21 months). If you DC is older, I would def bring them. They would enjoy it!

I usually go when DS is in daycare.

I haven't...but I usually go when I'm working from home and DS is at daycare. Even if I could bring him I wouldn't, I'd ask my mom or MIL to watch him. I saw a mom there with her 14 month old (same age at DS) and it was tough. I would probably only bring him if DH was coming with me.

I used to bring my first with me in the stroller. I think with my 3rd it will be easier since I can schedule appts. when they are both in school.

I have not taken DS with me to any of my appointments. He typically stays with my parents or SIL while I go.

I brought DS to my appts, they are relatively quick and I try to get the 1st appt of the day so there is no waiting. The only thing that bothers me is when I have to go into the restroom to pee in a cup I get ultra anxiety about DS touching anything but he is in a stroller. He didn't come to my 20 week sono though...or any sono for that matter just b/c I'm weird about extra radiation...him being in the room like that.

I've been alone for ALL of my appts except the 20 weeks sono. It was too difficult to coordinate everyone...

I've had to bring my ds to some and it's way easier to leave him at home! The dr's and nurses never seemed to mind. I don't bring him to the sono's, there is no way he could sit that long.

i had a biophysical profile today...the sono was about 20 minutes long and I had to bring DS1.

I'd say everything worked out OK, he didn't even move the whole time.

I bring my ds to all of them. He sits like a good boy and then we get breakfast or lunch after. My dh works long hours so he is not around to come or watch ds.

Abby came to my IUIs and appointments after i was released from my RE. She freaked when the lights went out but was ok otherwise. She was on a first name basis with my OB.
