Thank you for the responses. DD is just shy of 6 WEEKS old and ILs think they are going to take her to Disney by themselves for the first time when she's old enough to go. DH and I need to sit them down this weekend and have a conversation about it because we are not ok with it. We're fine with them coming with us, but we do not want to miss her face when she sees Disney for that first time.
why even discuss it now at such an early age?

Absolutely not!
That being said- I think it's kind of silly to have a sit down discussion about it when he's only 6 weeks. It will be years before it's even a possibility.

I wouldn't mind. As much as I want to be there for everything there are some things, memories and moments that are more important to me. The Disney experience is not high on that list for me.

I wouldn't be ok with it. I wouldn't mind them coming with us for the 1st time but going alone with DC's for the 1st time I wouldn't like.

I dont like Disney and I would still NOT be ok with that.
My parents havent even taken DD to the beach b/c I havent been there with her yet 
My DH will probably never forgive me b/c they took her to the Aquarium for the first time, after I forgot that we hadnt taken her yet!

No we are huge Disney fans and wanted to be the 1st ones to bring DDs.
I wouldn't have a problem when they are older if my ILs wanted to take them on a trip down there, but not their 1st time.

Nope! That's something I want to experience with my child. If she'd been there before with us, then okay. But definitely not the first time.

I agree.
I don't think it's a battle worth fighting when your DD is so young. If it's addressed when your DD is 6 weeks old, you're turning it into a power struggle. They are just excited grandparents- it's not like they could take your DC away on vacation on a moments notice without your consent anyway. It will be years and years before your DD will even be old enough- I'd wait until they ask if they can plan a trip and just say something like, "We want to experience Disney for the first time as a family", and that's it, end of discussion.
