trying to stay positive

So I had some brownish blood yesterday and called the Dr. They told me to come in. They did a sono and apparently I'm only 5w 4 days. When I went on Friday, he said I was about 7w 3 days based on the first day of my last period.
So I did hear and see a heartbeat yesterday so I thought everything was ok. When I met again with the Dr, he said the heartbeat is low......99......
He did blood work to see what my levels were. I called them today and they said my progesterone is low...3.77 and that they want it over 20. My HCG is good though. I'm trying to stay positive and say that the progesterone suppositories will work and everything will be ok. I already have an 18 month old and we went to a fertility Dr to help us get pregnant. Am I being realisticeven thinking that things will be ok?

Eta.....fertility Dr was for my first pregnancy.......for this one, we did it on our own

im not sure i understood part of what you wrote. you used a fertility doctor for this pregnancy or the last one? do you know how far along you should be in this pregnancy?

okay i just went back and reread your first post. so it looks like you got your positive pregnancy test on 7/26 which would mean you would have to be well ahead of 5 weeks, 4 days right now. i'm not sure what to make of that as i'm not a doctor, but unfortunately that doesn't sound all that great. i hope everything is okay and i will pray for you and your baby! Not necessarily. I got my BFP on 7/28 at 10DPO and am only 6w 1d. If she tested when AF was due or after it seems reasonable.

To the OP, I hope everything turns out ok for you and you LO! Hopefully with the doctors monitoring you everything will work out.Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: trying to stay positive

Try to stay positive!!! I had a sono around that time and the HB was considered 'low' as well and i stressed for weeks after. I'm now 29 weeks and his HB is as strong as ever. Lots of prayers for you!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: trying to stay positive- updated 8/19

Okay so I started bleeding more and had mild cramping Wednesday at work. I went to the Dr yesterday expecting not so good news.
The babies heart rate went from 99 to 128 and my progesterone went from 3.77 to 4 98. The dr took one look at the sono and everything and I guess was shocked because he said......everything looks perfect.
I haven't had any more cramping but still a little bleeding.......it doesn't even show on a pad.....just when I wipe. I'm still on the progesterone suppositories. I go for the prenatal blood work tomorrow morning and go back to the Monday. I still dont wamt to get my hopes up but this all seems pretty good so far. As long as my progesterone levels keep going up its good. If I can still ask for prayers though it would be really appreciated.
