Carpal Tunnel..does anything help
I have had carpal tunnel since about 25 weeks and now at 31 weeks it is just getting worse and I have been in so much pain this week.
Can I do anything to help this? It is only really bad in my left hand but my right hand is getting worse.

I had carpal tunnel with my first. I found the braces helped me. You can get them in CVS or Rite Aid. Feel better

You could try a wrist brace at night.

Re: Carpal Tunnel..does anything help
I wear my braces pretty much all the time...on both hands.
I have found sleeping with them on helps a little.
I also just went for an acupuncture session, which although it didn't help the numbness definitely helped the pain! My OB gave his blessing, so i did it. I'll go again next week.

Re: Carpal Tunnel..does anything help
I had very severe CT with my first pg (I had it beforehand & became unbearable during my pg - I've since had surgery on both wrists for it).
The braces barely helped, but one thing that did give me relief was submerging my arm up to the elbow in a pitcher of ice water before bed. I would alternate each arm & do it 3x each for as long as I could tolerate. It was horrible & painful in its own way, but it brought down the swelling & helped A LOT. I'd put the braces on right afterwards & go to bed. If nothing else is working you might want to try this. Good luck

With first, I wore the braces at night too. It helped. So far, not suffering with it this pregnancy.

Re: Carpal Tunnel..does anything help
Braces! I wore them every night and here and there during the day. It takes time to get used to daily function with them. I had moderate support so they were awkward handling DS #1. I used them more when I was resting, driving or pushing stroller. But at night helped most. That's when I had the most pain anyway.
My CT is not pregnancy related. I actually had it worse before and after. And whenever I go on knitting and crochetting binges! So be aware of what you're doing with your hands. Try to rest more. Typing and mousing on LIF does NOT help at all!
