Problem at work
I never post, but I read posts all the time, even at work.
Today my boss came to me with an "IT Audit" they have every single time I've been on here. I'm in trouble!!!!!
How do I deal with this? Any ideas?

Re: Problem at work
The obvious answer would be to stay off the internet unless it is work related.

Were you on at all times of day? You might have a case in your favor if it is only at lunch time.

Re: Problem at work
Be honest and own up to it. If everyone in the office is known to surf the internet, I woud say you didn't think it was an issue since it is accepted in the office. Ask for clarification of the policy. Ask if you're allowed to surf on your lunch/breaks etc.
Also, if you are still getting your work done and aren't behind, use that to your advantage. But ultimately, you'll have to accept the consequences. Be prepared to take the lumps and offer a plan of corrective action (won't surf at all on work computer or only at lunch etc)

I agree.
I'd also watch EVERYTHING you do. Be a stellar employee.
If you're in a finance based industry, it could be a standard complaince issue. If not, they may be looking for excuses. We don't pull internet usage unless there are other issues.

Same here. Also pulled if we think there has been a breach of privacy.
