got lab results from miscarriage
Chromosomes came back Abnormal
Now have to see genetic counselor before TTC. Anyone else happen too? Nervous about appointment.

 They never gave me an option for labs to be taken. They just "assumed" it was not a viable pregnancy most likely because I was 39 at the time.
I know its nerve wracking but at least your appointment will give you some answers

I had mine tested...came back extra chromo 13 but was not referred for any genetic counseling. This was my first mc I have 2 other children and Im 39 also. My dr said this is so common and main reason for mc is chromosomal. My age increases the chances of mc & this happening again is very rare.
I hope for the best for you. Sorry for your loss and wish you lots of luck. Getting answers was comforting for me at least.

This was my first mc and have 2 other children also. I just turned 35. Dr thinks was just a one time occurance but still wants me to see genetic counselor. I thinl for more ease of mind for me.

I had trisomy 21 (downs syndrome).... and they said to get tested.
I thought about going but when it came down to it, I never did get tested.
Bottom line..... we were still going to try to have a baby and didn't want that over our heads. It most likely was just a fluke anyway.
We got pregnant again a while later... you have genetic testing done then and all came back great actually. Now we have a very healthy DD.

I am not sure about this.. I had D&C on 10/3 and still haven't gotten results back? I called last week and no luck. Not sure what happened.. but, I feel like it's too painful for me to keep calling..
Really sorry for your loss. I was referred to get myself tested to make sure all was ok with me too (I already have one healthy DS and this is my 2nd MC, not conseutive).

I just posted about it, my dr said they couldn't grow the tissue so far (I think they keep trying up to 4 weeks) so no answers, but she says it was most likely Chromosomal bc that's what it is in 99% of cases like mine and since I'm healthy, have one child and didn't have any problems getting pregnant they think it was just one time thing "bad luck" and future pregnancy should be fine. I asked my high risk and general OBGYN if we should get genetic testing done, they both said there is no need since this was my first MC and again they don't think future pregnancy should be an issue.

I had my d&c on sept 27. And just got the results this week. I got pathology results 3 weeks after d&c but was told chromosome results took longer. Dr told me to call him Nov 16 if didnt hear from him bc it could take that long. So dont worry results take awhile. sorry you are going threw this.

Saw genetic doctor. Was chromosome 18 that defected baby would never have survived birth. Dr said just sporatic thing, no increase risk of happening again just one of those things. Age had no influence and since i wouldnt be alive if i had a chromosome 18 issue no reason to go further with testing. Baby was a boy.

mine was Chromo 13 & same thing not a viable pregnancy. Im 39 & at a higher risk for mc. I was relieved to know that it was not my body that caused mc but mother nature. Risks are the same as they were before I got pregnant but this happening again is rare..(x'ing fingers)
