The Four Seasons (on a date, not with DH though). I dont recall too much, I didnt wind up liking the guy. Thats all I recall.

I have eaten at some pretty pricey places which i usually get reimbursed for. While most of the time the meal was very very good or excellent, I wouldn't say I would go back and spend the money out of pocket. I have had meals that are just as great at lower priced places in some situations.

Madame Janette's in Aruba... we've never spent $200 for dinner before but it was oh so worth it!
another great meal! I'm so bad at remembering the names of places.
others that come to mind for memorable meals (not necessarily most expensive, but divine culinary experiences):
Pennisula Grill in Charleston
eat Mosaic in St James

A restaurant in the South of France, I can't remember the name. It was amazing - but I think the overall setting added to it. We had planned one big night out and got all dressed up for it. We had no idea what we were eating, but it was damn good.

It was a tiny place in Boston (not there anymore) Trattoria a la Scalinatella.....best meal I have ever eaten

Actually, most of the "best" restaurants I've been to (Le Bernadin, Le Cirque, Daniel, Jean Georges, Per Se, etc etc) haven't been the best. Nobu is always fantastic (more exclusive at downtown location) Bond Street is my fav. Gramercy Tavern as always been great. Eleven Madison Park is very good. Il Mulino ****** me off bc we ha a reservation and we ended up leaving 45 later bc we still weren't seated (ate there at a later date and it was ok). Most of my best restaurant experiences in Manhattan have been hole-in-the wall places.

I'm soooo not a foodie, so my DH doesn't even bother with the expensive restaurants, although he's eaten at them (he's done work with Boulud, etc..)
I've been to Gramercy Tavern, Gotham Bar and Grill, STK, BLT Steak, Uncle Jack's, Ruth's Chris, Prime (Huntington), Prime (Bellagio), Piccolo (Huntington), Rothmann's, but none of them struck me as being all that expensive. The booze is where they get ya! A couple bottles of $250 wine or champagne changes the bill a bit. 
Oh and I probably got steak at every one of them and enjoyed them all.

Daniel (NYC ) - not worth it
French Laundry (Napa) - awesome but I wouldn't go again
Nob Hil (vegas) - was ok nothing special
i think the atmosphere is really important and when they are too serious and stuffy I don't like it as much,

it was worth it only to see Betsy Johnson drinking cocktails waiting for someone lol
it was good, I've had better at half the price
I think middle high end places are worth it, not the high high end places.

Jean-Georges - totally worth it and probably the best restaurant experience I've had, and the most expensive for sure.
Daniel - ate there a few times. good but not amazing
Le Cirque, Gramercy Tavern, Le Bernardin, Nobu, Morimoto... all good and worth checking out.
at fancy restaurants I always get the tasting menu. I figure I don't go so often so I should get what the chef puts out there and it's usually always worth it to me.

Sparks - definitely worth the $. it was DHs 30th bday so I am glad it was so good but $$$$.
Smith and Wollensky I did not like at all.
21 Club..also not really worth the $ but i wasnt paying so no big deal.

Eleven Madison Park. I brought my sister there for her 30th birthday. It was really good, but $500 is seriously way too much money to spend on dinner for two people. So no, it wasn't worth the money, but it was definitely significantly better than any other food I've ever eaten.
Ate at Eleven Madison Park in college with my ex. Think it was circa 2002, Still remember that meal as being the best meal I have ever had. Don't remember the price though..
