In need of a Jewish egg donor

I am 35 years old and have been trying to have a baby for 3 years now with my loving husband. I had surgery to remove my fallopian tubes due to a rare genetic disease and needed ivf after that. We have been through 7 rounds of IVF. It worked three times, however, all three times I miscarried. I have been to hundreds of doctors, had countless medical procedures, gone to many holistic doctors and still no baby The doctors agree that the m/c and failure to implant are indications of poor egg quality. They are recommending I move forward with egg donation.
I have a wonderful Dr. but she is having trouble finding us a Jewish donor. I've gone through agencies as well and have not had any luck.
We are looking for a Jewish donor who is petite, dark hair (brown, light brown), average to above average IQ and would be willing to share pictures with us.

I am goign to make a suggestion.

Try conting J-date and J-Retro Match. They are both Jewish Dating websites. There ight be SOMETHING they could POSSIBLY do.

Try local synagogues and sisterhood withing the shuls.

Try the JCC.

Try Jewish Federation. They have a great resources.

Speak to your Rabbi or Cantor. They might have suggestions as to where you might be able to look.

Maybe try looking at some of the local colleges. I know Touro has a large Jewish population. Good luck!

Cornell has an excellent egg donor program. Have you tried that?

Have you seen Dr Braverman? He specializes in multiple miscarriages. You may be able to use your own eggs. Good luck

Can I ask why the donor has to be Jewish? I understand why you'd want someone that has some of your physical traits, but limiting the search to Jewish women is going to drastically impact the number of potential candidates.

krisgirl- Not really sure why you think this is funny. I've lived my life in tears for the past 3 years. Google doesn't help anymore. Especially since I've been to hundreds of drs and they've all left me nowhere. I posted this b/c I'm really trying to find someone local and avoid the red tape that seems to get in the way of this process.
I guess someone who has no experience with infertility(neither did I until 3 years ago) can not imagine what a world of infertility feels like.
Hopefully you never laugh out loud at someone who is close with you and has this horific disease.

I am so sorry you are going through this. It must be difficult. At first blush I read Krisgirl''s comments exactly like you did, but I don't think English is her first language nor do I think she has mastered the use of internet lingo. See her other posts and it will give you a clearer picture. (ETS: If I am incorrect and her intent was to laugh at you, well then shame on her). I am sorry that you felt ridiculed. I hope that you stay. I know that the wonderful women on the infertility board welcome everyone with loving open arms. I would try to repost your questions there.
As for a more direct answer to your questions perhaps with the help of an attorney who specializes in this area they could help you with an advertisement in some more Jewish centered areas. I think you should contact an attorney who specializes in these issues as there are legal issues which you might not be aware of that would really benefit you to understand. Despite your desire to reduce red tape it really does not work that way and frankly I would hope you understand why it does not for all parties best interests.

I am Jewish also and had no idea that an egg donor had to be Jewish in order for the baby to be.

I don't know the person who posted, but I am wondering if they meant lots of luck when they said lol. If you look at the persons history, they also said it after commenting on someone who had a baby. Hopefully she meant that and was not laughing as that would be so uncalled for and mean

I would suggest sitting down with rabbis at different synagogues around your surrounding areas and starting with them. They might have people in their congregation that they can reach out to and may be able to find someone for you. they also might know appropriate websites or organizations for you to contact about this.
