lump in armpit
we discovered a lump in DH's armpit, I am assuming its a cyst but I really think he needs to have it checked out.... what kind of doctor would he go to for that?

My PCP sent me to a breast doctor/surgeon. Even though it's your armpit, its still considered part of the breast tissue/area.

I would send him to a primary care dr. If the dr thinks it's at all suspicious, he/she would probably send him for an ultrasound.

I had that twice, it was an ingrown hair. Have you tried a hot washcloth on the area to see if it comes to a head? Or a build up of deordorant and sweat blocking his pores? I'd try a hot wash cloth a few times a day.

Does it feel round and firm? Could be a cyst, sebacious cyst.

This is what I had, I had to have surgery to remove it.

This is what I had, I had to have surgery to remove it.
pretty round...
we started doing hot compresses as someone suggested and its definitely shrinking! Thank you!

I've had that, was an infected lymph node. Not dangerous.
