Mulch
Has anyone seen mulch on sale? Not the rubber kind. I know that HD had a sale this past weekend but I missed it.
I need a lot of mulch...probably 10 yards.
I'm also open to having it delivered and spread by a landscaper if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks!

Re: Mulch
We get 6 yards, delivered for free (within 5 miles of place), from a local Dix Hills Nursery. So I'm sure that you can find places that offer 10 yards with free delivery. Are you going to spread yourself? It's a lot of work.

Re: Mulch
I just received a quote for 10 yard for $750. I personally think my quote was too high so I'm shopping around. That quote is from a landscaper which covers his fee to spread it out.

Re: Mulch
I paid $190 for 5 yrds of Sweet Peat, so $750 for 10 yards seems ridiculous.

Re: Mulch
Not sure how it is on LI but here in Massachusetts the towns have local sites where you can get mulch for cheap. My DH has been getting a yard of mulch for $32 so for 10 yards it would be $320. Of course he put it in the back of his truck - so you would need access to that.
ETA: that I just did a quick search and it appears that some town have town compost facilities and mulch is free of charge to residents. Hempstead and Islip for example but there may be more. Of course you would have to have a way to transport it. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Contact James at Quality Landscaping and Masonry Supplies. They are in Rocky Point but they deliver. Where are you located?

Home Depot had them for $1.74 last week. I am hoping they have them on sale again as I need a lot more-lol.
