Question for Catholics...
I just sent an email to my parish - but what grade does religious ed start? Kindergarten? Thanks!

Ours started in kindergarten.
The first year was a study at home program. They had to go through a book wth their parents, fill out sections. The parents had 2 parent meetings to attend.
After that, it was an hour a week, midweek for the kids (Sept-April). There were several mandatory parent meetings & masses throughout the year - particularly for the Communion parents.

I am St Barnabus and they start in 1st Grade.
Registration is usually in the bulletin or announced during mass..I think registration started in June last year.

My kids are in Catholic school, so I am no help! But in our parish bulletin this week, they are already registering for next September. It does say that children who wish to make their Communion must be in the program for 2 years (1st grade and 2nd grade).
