Beta HCG
Hi everyone,
Its been a while since i've wrote on here.
I just need advice.
On April 22, I had 2 embryos transfers. On May 1st, had a pregnancy test done, and it came back positive but my hcg was low.
May 1 - my levels was 24
May 3 - 25
May 5 - 28
May 7 - 58
May 11 - 204
On May 8th I got my period, it last 3 days. I am hoping and praying i dont have an ectopic pregnancy which the nurse said it may be because of the levels. I personally think it was one of the embryos that didnt take. I still have faith that one survive. Tomorrow i have a blood test and sonogram appt. Have anyone experience this and had a positive outcome? This is my Second time trying. the first one didnt take.

Could also be a late implanter. I dont' know why your RE would wait so long for a sono though especially if you had slow rising betas early on and could potentially be ectopic. I would think that would warrant more monitoring.

Good Morning ladies,
thank you so much for the responses. Just got back from the doctor's office, and was told it may be a viral pregnancy
because of the numbers. He did see something but not what he was expecting. he also said it may be too early. I am expecting a phone call from the nurse. lets see what she tells me. I still have a faith.

so i went to my appt today and they did see something but he wasnt sure what it was. he said it may be too early. Today my levels were 380. As i see my levels rising, i still have hope. Thank you ladies for your prayers. It means a lot to me.

What did they see? A gestational sac? Yolk sac? Did you have a 3 dt or 5 dt? What grade were your embryos? From my experience, at this point, your Dr. should be able to give you more. It is important that your beta is rising .
I just want you to know whats going on.

Hi,
He did see a sac, but didnt tell me if it was a gestational sac or a yolk sac. I had a 5 day transfer, the embryos were "A".
I have another appt. tomorrow. blood and sonogram.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry. That's just awful. I know that SCH are very common and sometimes they do cause miscarriage. It's definitely something you'd like to bring up with your doctor for next cycle. So sorry that you had to endure all the unanswered and unknown during this waiting game. Any type of miscarriage is a loss. Give yourself sometime to grieve and heal.

So I received a call yesterday and I have an ectopic pregnancy. I'm going today to get the "shot". I'm so scare.
Ladies I am not giving up. I will try again. Hopefully I can give my son a sibling. Good luck and I will have everyone In my prayers.
