Minivan question
Would you think it was weird if a family with only 1 child had a minivan? The reason I ask is because we only have 1 child right now but plan to have another in 2-3 years. We have to buy a new vehicle soon and we like the features of a minivan but I can't help but think that people are going to say "why do they need that with only 1 child?". Since we need a new car now, we won't be able to get one in 2-3 years. Just wondering what people think.

Not at all. I don't think it matters what other people think anyway. Do what's best for your family.

Minivan question
we have 1 kid and got a minivan - and we're not sure if we're having more... We get comments all the time, but whatever, with all the home improvement projects we do, it comes in so handy all the time!

Re: Minivan question
I don't have a minivan, but have a large crossover that seats 7.
I have one kid and don't want more.
In retrospect, we could make do with something smaller, but I think what they say about once you go bigger you never go back is so true.
If anything I feel really safe in my vehicle, and there's plenty of room to lug stuff around or fit my parents if they come to visit.

I know single people with no kids that have a minivan.... they're handy vehicles.

Re: Minivan question
We have on child also and have a Honda Pilot. It comes in handy when I want to go out with friends and family. All the kids fit in my truck. People will always have opinions no matter what. Do what you feel is best for your family.
