Infant car seat question for #2
So with my first, I registered for snug ride 22 which only got me to 6 months. With #2 I'm thinking I may want the snug ride 30. My DH is going to be so mad-- we have three bases for the 22! Any advice??

Stick with the one you have. I have a 30 and I cannot imagine using it up to the point.

Infant car seat question for #2
I personally wouldnt get a new one unless that one is close to expiring (5 years old) if it was ever in an accident or if the straps are super dirty (because you aren't supposed to use any soaps on them)
I have a chicco seat that goes to 22 lb (30 inches) and i used it with DS for about 6-7 months. I'm using the same one this time around. I cant imagine carrying a baby in it much past that point anyway, it gets to heavy!!

Re: Infant car seat question for #2
we had the chicco keyfit 30 and used it for 9 months - i could not part with the snap and go he was about 20lbs.
if you really want to use it for longer, sell the 20 and use the money for the larger one!

Re: Infant car seat question for #2
I can't imagine carrying a 20+ lb child in the car seat. DS1 was within the weight limits of the car seat, but became uncomfortable in it around 7 months. It was so heavy at that point and he was probably only 17 or 18 lbs then.

Infant car seat question for #2
We had a snugride 22 and it's expiring in February and I had to figure out what to do since DS is due in October. I ended up getting a Britax B Safe because it's compatible with my new stroller (the B Ready) and happens to go up to 30 lbs. I can't imagine using it for that long, but we'll see. DD wasn't even 20 lbs at a year but we had stopped using the infant seat at 8 months anyway. I'm thinking that with the stroller compatibility, I may use the new one longer but I won't know until we get to that point.

Re: Infant car seat question for #2
i'd probably use what you already have. We do have the Graco snugride 32 which goes up to 30 lbs and we used it for over a year with each, but we wouldn't go out and buy a new one especially with all of the bases and everything unless it was expiring.
