worried about a friend
My friend's son (middle school age) passed away about 2 months ago.
Someone in the same profession as him has been posting about a newborn baby who is sick. I'm not saying he shouldn't try to support this person and the baby, but I'm worried that by getting involved its taking away from his grieving process and it can set him back. He's not dealing with it well (not that its expected he should) but I think his is so new he can go to a really bad place emotionally.
Any thoughts, ideas, comments?
TIA

Re: worried about a friend
Wow. I can't even imagine his grief.
Maybe helping someone else is helping him through the grieving process. Everyone grieves differently and it definitely is a process.
I really hope he is seeing a therapist to help him. I think his loss is too overwhelming for him to take on alone. You are a great friend for caring so much.
