WWYD? I twisted my ankle last night!

I iced and elevated it last night. The pain was mild.

This morning the pain is worse & I can't put full weight on it. It doesn't look swollen. DH keeps saying to take Advil, but I can't. And I can't find the damn Tylenol (we just moved & still unpacking)

What would you do?

I now live out east (Calverton/Riverhead area), OB is in Westbury (& no Saturday hrs) and my Regular Dr is in Ronkonkoma.

I would have DH go to the store and buy an ace bandage and tylenol. Wrap your ankle, take the tylenol and stay off of it. Find a first med/immediate care place near you and go there, you should make sure its not sprained. Obviously they will know your pg, so anything they prescribe should be okay to take, although at that point I would put a call into the OB's service to get a call back and confirm with them before filling a script and taking anything.

I tore ligments in my ankle this pregnancy around 24 weeks. I would agree with the pp, if you cannot get to an urgent care to have the ankle checked then at the least do an ace bandage and ice the ankle and elevate. You cannot take advil, only Tylenol, which sucks b/c it wont help with the swelling. the only thing that works for that is the icing. For me my OB okayed having an xray because they thought it was broken, so check w. your doc before doing anything. I was on crutches for about 3 weeks, hope your outcome is better!
