The only thing that worked for my dd when she had a bad diaper rash was aquaphora. And I also leave her diaper less as much as possible or if she needs to be in diapers change them as often as possible. Also, warm baths.

What to use for bad diaper rash ?
I tried almost everything. I recommend Triple Paste. Use a lot, like plaster it on so it's thick. Desitin Max worked too, but it has too many chemicals. I used it once, then looked it up on EWG, and threw it out.

What to use for bad diaper rash ?
If triple paste doesn't work after a few days or if its a red open sore rash it might be fungal. In that case, lotromin cream (for jock itch) with a&d for a few days (at least 3) should work. If not, you'll need a script from the Dr.

My doctor said to use anything with 40% zinc oxide. The maximum strength butt paste and max strength desitin has it. My DS had it when he was 1 week old and it helped!

Also, don't use wipes. We just used wet paper towels until it cleared up.

i forget where, but someone recommended Calmoseptine. ask your pharmacist for it.
worked really well for DS when it was bad.
i believe its for people who get bedsores and such.

A&D always works best for us. My DD just had a bad diaper rash and I put it on and it was clear within 24 hrs.

I just switched to Bourdeaux's butt paste. the all natural one in the green tube. It works amazing on DD....triple paste didn't do it for her
