TTC with High Blood Pressure

My husband and I are now ttc and I have high blood pressure. Does anyone else have this problem? What have you or are you going through?

TTC with High Blood Pressure

i have high blood pressure, DH is fine. i also have PCOS though, so we went to a RE for help. He told me that my high blood pressure would not hinder my TTC, but that once i got my BFP (in June) i would have to see a high risk OBGYN to be monitored closely because of the possible complication that might occur during pregnancy because of HBP. Are you on medication for your HBP? If so, make sure with your OBGYN that the medicine is safe to use during pregnancy, if not, you'll have to switch to one that is and let your body adjust. I know i had to adjust and I was able to TTC while my body was adjusting to the new meds, but I guess that depends on your Dr.

i wouldnt worry too much about TTC but like the PP said, I would def make sure to get monitored a lot once pregnant. if you have high blood pressure normally, once pregnant your blood volume increases by 50%, so you def need to be watched to prevent things like pre-eclampsia which could be very dangerous to you and your baby.
