Headache when it rains
Does this happen to anyone else? I get some bad headaches when it rains... It seems to be the change in barometric pressure....I suffer from migraines as it is and these sometimes come out of nowhere... Do you take anything to prevent them? If yes, what is it and does it work..

Headache when it rains
Seems like sinus headache to me. I get them really bad when a storm comes in, like you mentioned. I take advil with a decongestant and it helps a lot.

I get a headache every time it rains. Dh makes fun of me bc my head will hurt and nothing I do will help it so thats how I know "rain is coming" . He just looks at me and laughs. But I'm right every time
I haven't found anything that helps me

I sometimes do, but I am prone to severe migraines.
I have a migraine prevention regimen that I take daily:
Magnesium
CoQ10
Vitamin B6
Butterbur extract
When i feel a migraine coming on I immediately take a mobic and an imitrex

I get bad headaches before it rains...once it starts to rain, it alleviates the pain. I think it has to do with the barometric pressure.
I'm always telling DH that it's going to rain, too. Or I'll get a headache and just keep saying "I can't wait for it to rain, I can't wait for it to rain!"
I find that what helps me most is 600-800mg ibuprofin taken with a good amount of caffeine. Ideally, coffee, but Diet Mt Dew works for me as well. I can literally feel the headache go away within about a half an hour to 45 minutes.
My mom and grandma dealt with this as well, so I guess it runs in the family.
Ironically, I love rainy weather more than anything, even though it pains me

Thank you everyone... My family thinks I am nuts!!!! I am going to ask for Imatrex at my dr appointment later this month... The stuff I am on now makes me sick to my stomach if I don't take it and then go right to sleep...

I get terrible sinus headaches regularly. They are particularly bad when the humidity is high. The allergist said that is common.

You're not crazy. Some of my migraines are barometric pressure related (my neuro speculated this out from a very detailed headache journal he had my keep)
When I feel it coming I try to take caffeine with tylenol or asprin, or excedrin. I can't take imitrex anymore, it doesn't work, so I take axert (still a triptan) when necessary.

Sometimes I do but I think it is because of environmental changes and some noisy sounds.
