Reactions to shots
My DD will get her 2 month shots on Friday. I'm so nervous about any reaction she might have. What happened with your LOs?

Re: Reactions to shots
mine cried during the shots, slept solidly after the shots, but refused to eat for 8 hours afterwards. since she also felt slightly warm, we called the doctor and they said to give her baby tylenol. so one dose of that and she was fine.

Re: Reactions to shots
My DD was very cranky after her 2 month shots, gave her some baby tylenol and she went right to sleep. Woke up the next day and she was fine.

Re: Reactions to shots
DS cried when the shots were given and was a little cranky that night, but that was about it.... unlike his 4 months shots where we were battling a fever and crankiness for like 5 days.

Reactions to shots
DD cried until we finally got her into the car and got moving, it was rough. She had no reaction after that though. The next 2 months she was much better about the shot but we had a tough time after the fact. I was hesitant to give tylenol since she had no fever but some skin to skin time nursing really helped her.

Re: Reactions to shots
ds#1- no reaction afterwards, other than crying right after he got the shots.
ds#2- he screamed for 2 hours straight a few hours after his shots. He had 3 that day i think. After that, we delayed the shots slightly so he wouldn't get so many. He's been fine ever since we spread them out.

Re: Reactions to shots
Mine had a reaction about 4 hours after she had her first round of shots. Screams like I had never heard before her thighs became swollen and were red hot. she was in pain all of sudden and it hit her like a ton of bricks. I quickly gave her Tylenol because me trying to comfort her was making it worse. She was all better after that.
Second round of shots I gave her Tylenol as soon as we got home. I refused to see her in pain again like that. It was horrifying. Sorry to scare you but this was my experience.

Re: Reactions to shots
My daughter has had no reaction to her shots. My doctor did tell me to give her tylenol about 20 minutes or so before coming in for them. Maybe that helped?

Re: Reactions to shots
No reaction. Nada.
She cried, of course! But I picked her up and she stopped.
