It's not your period - it's just breakthrough bleeding and it's very common. If you were on the pill for birth control reasons (long term), they'd have you wait 3 months, and if it was still happening, they'd try you on a different pill. For your protocol, it makes absolutely no difference. If you read the packet that came with the pills, you'll see that breakthrough bleeding is a common side effect.
