Why don't you try something else? we tie Christmas ribbons on the ornaments and use a scissor to curl the ends. Much prettier and safer than the hooks, IMO

You can buy hooks at Michaels or AC Moore

We usually pay $30 at Lewins to chop it down. We mgiht be going to Home Depot instead and I expect to spend like $60 or so on an 8 foot tree.,
In the past, we've gotten tehn at garden centers for close to 100 bucks, but they look amazing

FYI: The most expensive tree at the Lowes we went to was $35 and that was for the 6-9 foot range

I usually pay $75 (for a 6 foot tree) at a farm like area, but went to Home Depot and got a bigger, fuller tree (7 foot) for $35 on Friday.
