How to you get 2 babies into car alone?

So the gas station pump made me think about something. How do you get your 2 babies into the car to go out when you are home alone?

I have 2 babies 12 months apart. (one in an infant seat and 1 who cant walk down the stairs of my house alone and who will take off if I let go of his hand! Just wondering what everyone else does.

My boys aren't as close in age as your 2- they are 22 months apart. I usually keep the younger one in the infant seat, so I can plop him down on the ground while I put the older one in. If I don't have him in the infant seat, I put him in first and tell my older one ( who will be 3 in a few weeks) to stand next to me with his hand on the side of the car. If he is having a fiesty day, I will have him stand between me and the open door and the inside of the car, so he is kind of boxed in. On one or two rare occasions, I have lifted him into his seat while holding the baby in the other hand, but I don't buckle him in. I close his door, then go around and put the baby in, then come back and buckle the older one in. HTH!

How to you get 2 babies into car alone?

I have 3 kids... 4 year old.. 17 months old and 2 month old...
Obviously my older son can get in side a car with no help. With my younger 2... I will strap in my 17 month old in his carseat, and run quickly to get the one who's in the infant car seat. I do not due it to often, but that work for me.

I carry the baby and the toddler holds my hand. I make the toddler crawl through the space underneath to his seat while I buckle in the baby. Then in my driveway I have him "touch my butt" while I pull the baby out. In a parking lot I have him squeeze in front of me while I do it.

I make one "get in" and I shut the door, get the other in and buckle them, then I go back around and buckle the first in.

Mine are 10.5 months apart & when my youngest was stilk in the infant carrier, I would bring them outside together & place the infant carrier in.the car first while holding my oldest DS hand.

Now that they are 3&2.5, I walk them outside together. I put my youngest in the car & strap him in, then put my oldest in.

we didnt have ours that close in age - but I would say bring one out at a time(like load the toddler up, and have the infant car seat just inside the front door) and lock car behind you then get the infant seat and lock up.... the house is different, people aren't constantly 15 feet away that could take off with them(unless you live on a main road by a bus stop or something)

I put the older one in first. He's more likely to get into trouble (run out, fall, get hit by car) being that he's mobile... So the little one waits in the carseat (in house, parking lot, wherever) while I secure the big guy. Mine are 17 months apart. They are 1 and 2.5 and this has worked for me since the little one was 2 months old.

my twins are 15 months, but not walking. I bring them out one at a time. I have a play pen next to the door and we refer the that as the holding tank. i can bring them in together, but not out.
once they can climb out of that I see myself strapping one into the high chair for the waiting period.

In the beginning I would take older DS out first after strapping younger DS in his infant seat. Now we all go out together. I carry the baby and my toddler walks. I put the baby in his seat and then put older DS in his seat.

I leave one in the house usually.
In the past when they were still young but weren't in the infant seat anymore I would put one in the exersaucer while I took the other one out.

We walk outside together. I'll have the older one, 5, climb in while I put the younger one,2, in her car seat.

I buckle the older one in after I do my youngest.

If its a school morning, I put all the stuff in the car first.

Out in public, the oldest one always goes in first. I open the door and he gets in himself. He also climbs into his car seat. While he is doing this, I pop in the baby.

I have 3 - babies are 10 months old and older son is 3 years old.

I carry the babies in their infant seats and hold my son's hand. It's not fun or pretty but we manage! Otherwise, I will carry one (or both) babies in my arms and hold my older guy's hand.

Thanks everyone! I am so glad to read that I am not the only one who leaves one in the house when loading up! I thought for sure I was the only one! I have to go down 12 steps to get to my car and I can't lock the door and go down the steps holding and infant carrier and toddler. I would hate to fall and injure all of us. I lock the car when one is in and run in at top speed to get the 2nd one.
