Progesterone supplements

So after seeing and hearing the heartbeat yesterday the dr called today and said my prog is low and they want me to take supplements vaginally.

I wonder how freaked out I should be? Is there usually a good outcome with something like this? Or should I be preparing myself for another miscarriage?

At my first appt, baby was right on track, heard HB. Dr told me progesterone was low though and started me on suppositories. Honestly, I thought the worst because of my history but it all worked out just fine! I'm 35+ weeks now

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago my p4 was low while on PIO so they increased my dose and I was put on suppositories. It went up to 21 in 3 days. It was as low as 6.4.

i took the supps for so many cycles i cant even count

it can only help not hurt i know its scary but try not to worry,they just want the number higher

Thanks girls, this makes me feel a bit better. I guess they are nervous b/c it's dropping. Is it supposed to stay the same or even increase? Hopefully this will help and there won't be too many unpleasant side effects!

Yes, it is good they tested your progesterone and are getting you on meds! It is going to be messy and you might get some spotting while on it. I was on Endometrin and had bleeding almost everyday from the time I started taking it to the time I stopped at 10 weeks.
Of course everyone is different but I know they made me tired and made my BB tender. Hopefully you will be ok and have a healthy pregnancy!!!

I took it in the beginning of both my pregnancies, first one til 12 weeks and second til 10 weeks. I have a 3.5 yr old DS and I'm 28 wks pregnant. It's very common you will be ok!!
