Spinoff of testing how it affects other grades
A letter was sent home from the school that 8 non 4th and 5th grade teachers including clusters will be used for administering and grading tests. So my 2nd graders teacher will be out for 7 days!! Crazy!!

Where are the teachers of the 4th and 5th grade students going to be, and why can't they administer the tests?

Right and I don't think you can grade your own students or others in the grades that were tested either. The letter says its DOE mandated.

You can administer the test to your own students.
Additional staff is needed to administer tests to students who get accommodations (separate location, extended time, questions read, etc.) It will take 4 staff members to administer the test to my class alone.
It is true that you cannot grade the tests from your class.
