MMR shot

Not really looking for advice just need to vent i guess...DS is getting his MMR shot next week. I pretty much follow my doctor's schedule, i trust them and listen to their advice. I did discuss getting the MMR and they advised if i was nervous to only get the MMR and not varicella at the same time so i will do that but they prefer he get the MMR first.

I'm just nervous for his reaction to it - i know a lot of children have bad fevers, etc and ti can last for more than a week. He's never had a serious reaction to a shot yet other than being irritable, but i'm still just nervous. how did you DC react? any that were perfectly fine with no reaction?

I delayed the mmr shot until my son was 3.5. He just got it last week. He did not receive any other shots. No reaction whatsoever thus far.

DD had zero reaction to the MMR, or any other shot thus far. She was completely fine, not even cranky.

MMR shot

My DS is scheduled to get his today but he has a cold so I am going to delay it until the cold is gone. My Ped will not give shots if they aren't feeling 100%.

My ped gives it at 15M. I am follwoing their schedule but DS is off a bit since he had colds often from daycare.

Re: MMR shot

My daughter reacts to her shots. She gets cranky and a low grade fever. We treat that with tylenol (although now she's old enough for motrin) and hugs and sometimes an extra bath.

MMR shot

i pushed the MMR off until 18 months, which his appt is in 2 weeks. I definitely don't want both MMR and chicken pox at the same visit. Still thinking of pushing them off until 2 years, but i haven't made a final decision yet.

DS hasn't had too much of a reaction to any other shots, so i'm hoping he'll be ok with these.

DD got hers at 20 mo. She was very cranky and off following it then at 10 days got a fever, rash at 12 days. I would hold off if you have any big events in the 2 weeks following just in case.

DS was sick the day after he got the MMR at 15 months (not sure if it was related) and then crabby and irritable again with a low grade fever 10 days later (when they say the side effects occur)
