Hotel Room eating

I have to go away for training for work for 2 months this August and there is a good chance i'll be in a hotel room with a microwave/fridge and not the full kitchenette area. Last time this happened I ate like crap! I don't really do cold cuts for sandwiches, and I don't want all the sodium (and price) of pre-packaged meals. I love cooking but I'm lost without a stove/oven.

I'm so used to making eggs in the morning (I suppose I can do a lot of oatmeal). But I'm so frustrated on what I can do to make healthy meals living like this. Any suggestions will help calm me down, thank you!

You can def make eggs in the microwave. I do that for the kids when I have limited time. A little oil/butter/spray in bowl, pour the egg in (I usually scramble it) and microwave for like 55 seconds.

Cold cereal/milk

oatmeal/ cream of wheat

fruit

yogurt

Bring pull top cans of tuna and keep veggies in the fridge to serve with it

keep rotisserie or store bought grilled chicken in the fridge (can add to salads)

Supermarkets now adays have great deli selections, or maybe research restaurants/delis close by to order some grilled chicken cutlets, grilled veggies, etc.

Hummus & veggies
Yogurt, fruit
Do you like beans? Bring a can opener
Light soups/chicken noodle
Steamed single serving brown rice

good call on the can opener and the steamed rice. I didn't even really know that made that. I did find a pretty decent supermarket for Alabama, so I'm sure they'll have some pre-made stuff. I've been doing so well getting myself back on track being healthy that hearing most of the rooms don't have the little stove surprised and frustrated me.

I'm doing a lot of google searches on eating healthy in a dorm room (something I didn't really do back in college....), for inspiration as well.

I used to be the director of a corporate fitness center & worked as early as 6am, and as late at 8pm. All I had was a coffee maker, refrigerator, & a microwave.
I used to bring a glass tupperware bowl for heating, knife, can opener, spoon.

I love the perdue grilled short cuts. That which lettuce is what I would eat everyday. You could get different types of salads and dress. These are the ones I like that you couldn't easily do.

spinach, chicken, apple, dried cranberries, goat cheese and a balsamic vingerette

chicken caesar salad or a whole wheat wrap

hard boiled egg, oil vinegar dressing, chicken and butter lettuce.

For breakfest:
I like plain oatmeal with water. I make that then add dried cranberries, brown sugar and nuts.
Same with the oat meal and half a banana and brown sugar and walnuts

Maybe bring a small blender like a bullet to make smoothies and get some protein powder so that could fill you up for the morning.
