UPDATE! We found her. She was............. Question for those who have an indoor/outdoor cat
Zoey usually hangs out in the backyard. Sometimes she does go in the front but she usually gets nervous and comes back in the yard. Yesterday I let her out at 8am and I haven't seen her since.
I don't know if I should panic , or it it's typical of a cat to roam around for a few days. But she must be hungry and hot? Where did she sleep last night? I'm anxious about it but don't know if I should go into full panic mode.
UPDATE: I went outside to look for her one last time before I went to bed and all of a sudden I heard her crying. My husband came out and we started looking for her. Well - we found her! About 25 feet up a tree. We tried to get her to climb down but she was scared. I did call the fire dept (wasn't really sure if that was just something in the movies) But unfortunately they said they don't do that. So DH placed an 18 ft ladder in the bed of his pick up and was able to climb up and grab her. She was so good and once in his arms, she didnt move! She made it very easy. What a relief.
Although it will be almost impossible, I will try to keep her inside! Unbelievable!!

Re: Question for those who have an indoor/outdoor cat
We had a cat that used to go missing for a few days. No idea where he'd go but he always came home. Leave some food out and try calling her.

Question for those who have an indoor/outdoor cat
I would knock on your neighbor's doors to see if they have seen her. i would put a big bowl of water out and food in a shady area and start calling her.
I really can't give to much more advice because i am a strictly indoor cat house/

My other cat is a strictly indoor only cat. She is 15 and has never been outside. But Zoey is only 10 months old and relentless about getting outside. She kept running out so I had to make the decision to let be indoor/outdoor.

Re: Question for those who have an indoor/outdoor cat
does she use the litterbox in the house? Put it outside. Put her food outside. If you give her treats, shake the bag/can and call her name.

Re: Question for those who have an indoor/outdoor cat
Oh no! I hope she comes back soon!
As another poster said, def put her litter outside.
If she responds to a certain sound-opening up a wet food can, a toy, whatever-try to amplify it outside. Use something that echos or put a microphone (kids mic should do the trick too) up to it.
Try cat nip too. Even if she hasn't had it before, she might be attracted to it.

We had a cat who did that, too. Naturally, she came back pregnant. She was only about 8 months at the time. You bet we fixed her after her litter! But she'd always come back after a few days. I remember I was a teenager and she was gone for like a week- I cried my eyes out thinking she'd never come back. Then she came strolling up to me outside one day looking for rubs and noms. I'm sure she'll be home soon! I'd leave some food and water out for her.

Re: Question for those who have an indoor/outdoor cat
My cat is 2, he's indoor outdoor as well. I do panic when I can't find him. His brother is our neighbors cat, he's much more adventurous and he has gotten locked inside another neighbors garage a few times! I agree put a little food out, not too much because she'll get a full belly and might go exploring again. I love my animals andvim such a worrywart about them, I make myself crazy. I'm sure she's fine though!

Question for those who have an indoor/outdoor cat
My indoor/outdoor usually came home at various points during the day. He went missing once, nosy decided to explore a neighbor's basement because the door was open, she went back in, shut the door and he had no way of getting out again. He was stuck for 3 days until I finally saw him in the window.
Try to keep Zoey inside. It really is better for her. I don't want to scare you, but mine was kicked by some arsehole who fractured his pelvis. Kitty could not walk home for 3 days because he was in so much pain. He got attacked by another street cat and had two puncture wounds in his face that got infected. After that one, I had enough and kept him inside for the rest of his life. It was hard, but I didn't have to worry every time he disappeared.
Give it another day or two, keep calling Zoey and hopefully she will be home soon ! Cats are resourceful - the will find shelter, food and water.

OMG Denise! I am glad she is ok.Try your best to keep her in.I used to take my outdoor turned indoor cat outside on a leash when I was a kid, just to let her experience the outside since she loved it so much.

Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe she got stuck up a tree.. I didn't know these types of things actually happened. How funny would it have been to see a fireman rescuing a cat from a tree?? So glad you found her and she's home and safe!!!
