37+ weeks, any shortness of breath?
I'm 37 weeks and for the last couple of days I feel almost as if I'm short of breath. It's not really that my breathing is quick and shallow, more that it's just harder to breathe. Like labored breathing I guess. Don't even know how to describe it. I've also had really bad allergies, no idea why or to what, and wonder if I have a touch of asthma or something.
Anyone experience anything like this?

Re: 37+ weeks, any shortness of breath?
I've been experiencing this on and off since 33w (i'm 35 now). For me, it depends on the position I'm sitting/lying in. At times I feel like I'm going to stop breathing all together and will need to call 911. It sounds dramatic and it's obv never happened but it gets that bad. For me, changing positions and relaxing (mentally) help.

Totally normal at the end of pregnancy. Baby is taking up a lot of space which doesn't allow your lungs to fully expand. It's even worse when it's hot/humid out. It'll all go back to normal as soon as you give birth.

Yes! I was told this is very normal.
For me, he is head down and butt up - like IN my diaphram and lung area so I definitely think that adds to it! He is also facing toward my butt so that means his little rump is right in my upper abdomen and he STICKS his little rump out and I can see it come to a peak! It's crazy!

yup its normal- all your organs are kind of pushed out of the way at this point or have the baby leaning on them. I can't go up stairs anymore without stopping halfway- its pathetic!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was worried but am glad to know it's normal. Not a fan of this latest symptom.
