Flying overseas & carseat question
Overseas trips + carseats...
How do you do it? Rent car seats overseas or bring your own? If you bring your own did you gate check them? I really want to avoid having a lot of luggage if necessary. We have family where we are going so I can have them help me find out where to rent them etc but I don't know what is the best plan of action. I thought about renting a car seat for DD1 (toddler) and bringing the car seat for the baby because we can just use it with the snap n go.
Also, how do you coordinate this with going to the airport? Like if we rent a carseat overseas/don't bring our own and taking a shuttle to the airport, what do I do with the carseat after I get to the airport, I obviously can't leave it in the shuttle.
Thanks for any help this is so confusing!

Re: Flying overseas & carseat question
We always bring our carseats with us. I don't trust what we could rent. We check it with our luggage. Lugging them through the airport is no fun.

Re: Flying overseas & carseat question
I am not big on renting but maybe our LIF moms from overseas know. I know European seats are not okay here. I could be wrong but I think my friend said when she visits family the seat has to have locking clips bc the seat belts are not locking. Not sure but I think they have something simikar to latch with a different name. It might depend on the seats you have.
