Re: Rock N Play users
We used it for nighttime sleep for two months, then transitioned to a swing. My DS needed strong movement to sleep. We still use it though when traveling. The portability is amazing!

Re: Rock N Play users
DS slept in it in our room until about 9 weeks, after that he was only in it if he woke up in the middle of the night and would not go back down in his crib (2 times a week). Then by 4.5 months it was folded up and put away.

Re: Rock N Play users
Started out using a bassinet, but switched to the rock n play after about 2-3 weeks.
We used it until he was 12 weeks old.
At 12 weeks we moved him to his room and he's slept all night in his crib ever since then. (it's actually a pack-n-play until his real furniture comes in)

Re: Rock N Play users
My twins are 8 weeks and sleep in the RNP at night and for naps. Neither of them will stay asleep laying flat on their backs in the pack and play, so it's been a life (and sleep!) saver!

Exclusively until DS was about 3 months old. It was great for when he had a cold though, so we used it infrequently until he was like 8 months old.

Re: Rock N Play users
We used it until 5 months and I would use it in place of a bassinet. Next time I wouldn't even use the basinet

I loved the rock n play!!! It's great especially if you're breast feeding because we used it right next to our bed at night when DS was really little and I would just scoop him up in the bed when he needed to eat. He loved it as well. It's a lot more cozy than an open crib or pack n play and gives them more support which newborns love (as im sure you already know) -- My son stayed in his until he was just about read to tip out! ha! We then transitioned him to a pack n play in our bedroom around 6 months old (i was a new parent and didnt want him in another room lol) and then finally we put him in his crib around 9 months. Thankfully he transitioned easily and does not like to sleep anywhere else beside his crib today! (he's 19 months now lol) -- Love the rock n play! i suggest it to all my new mom friends <3

ps - I love it for the fact that it's an inclined bassinet... helps me sleep easier at night. They "say" you shouldn't leave them unattended over night or whatever but you use your best judgment as the parent. For me, I was comfortable letting him sleep in it next to me cuz I would wake up to something as little as him moving his pinky lol -- and congrats btw!

Re: Rock N Play users
DD is only three and a half weeks. We started her in the bassinet and then switched her to the Rock N Play. Her dr said she really needed to sleep on a flat surface and not to put her in it at all. So we put her in the bassinet or Pack N Play to sleep at night. Sometimes she just won't have it and we still use the Rock N Play for naps, to soothe her, or if she falls asleep, we even transfer her out of it.

Re: Rock N Play users
We used it right away with DD and we just weaned her off of it and into the crib. She is 3.5 months old. I loved having her in it next to my bed. It was just right for her when she was little, but she's getting too big for it now.

Re: Rock N Play users
We used it a lot for naps or when she was fussy. But at night we really tried to stick to the Bassinet so she would get used to sleeping flat.

Re: Rock N Play users
I used it right away. I used it for nap time only and he went into the bassinet, and later the crib, at night. I used it at night when he had a cold or something. I continued to use it for naps up until he hit the weight limit because he slept well in it and it was easy to travel with

I haven't used it yet but I purchased it for my parents house I guess for naps, but plan on using the bassinet at home for naps and night sleeping(if that exist) lol.
