Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
We are going to my parents house for dinner. DH and I will spend the morning and early afternoon relaxing and preparing the dishes we are bringing for dinner.

Re: Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
We usually watch the parade and have brunch with my parents and sister/BIL, then we go to my IL's for dinner with DH's siblings and their families. Then over that weekend, we get together for "second Thanksgiving" with my mom's side of the family, alternating between their house in NJ and my parents' house on LI. This year it's here, thank goodness!

Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
Trying very hard NOT to kill anyone? I have no idea yet but somehow I think I invited my step mother over to my home for Thanksgiving along with her two granddaughters (who are also in reality my brothers/sister's half sisters). So if they come over it will be that monster creature whom I REALLY want out of my life forever, my twin brothers and their two half sisters, my kiddo, hubby and me. Yeah.. .. trying NOT to think about it.
If by some blind luck I miss that bullet, I hope to do not a damned thing and sit at home, but I am sure i'll end up going to my aunt's house for an hour or so.
But of this I am sure.......
I *WILL* be watching football I *WILL* be eating pumpkin pie
I should note that thanksgiving isn't really about thanksgiving for us. Its just a holiday to eat and get together. If I endup at my cousin's house we drink and complain about it as a slaughter-day and plan our xmas holiday instead. LOL Then again, we don't eat Turkey on any other day so there's that.

I will go to my Mom's the night before to spend the night and start baking and prepping. In the morning my hubby will bring the kids over. We will watch the parade, have snacks, and a fire. We eat at 1pm so after we all veg and watch the game. For breakfast we have small snacks and around 10 or 11 we start putting out the other snacks. Company comes at 12 for pre dinner snacks. We stay all day and then at night we watch A Christmas Story and go home.

Watching the parade in the morning with DH & my boys. Going to my grandparents house around 3:00 for dinner. There will be 22 adults and 3 kids. We usually stay until around 8-8:30. It is such a fun family day!

Re: Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
I am hosting... a total of 14 people. It's DS's first Thanksgiving so we wanted to be home. I just hate the mess the next day!
The morning of, we watch the parade while we cook and then we watch the dog show immediately after When DS is older we'll take him to the parade.

Re: Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
I'm hosting. My sister, BIL and nephews are coming down from MA. I'm hosting. She's cooking (she usually hosts, but, is going to her HS reunion here on LI Fri night). She offered to cook. Of course, I'll help. Hoping we'll all watch the parade together Thurs AM (they're arriving Wed night), and we'll just start preparing dinner. My father and his girlfriend are most likely joining us for dinner as well.

Re: Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
I'm hosting for the third time! My parents are coming over with my little brother and sister. My cousin will most likely come over too. Thanksgiving is really special for us. My mom and I split the cooking. My dad is even making one of his famous dishes- I can't wait.
DH has to work in the day time but should be home in time for dinner after picking up his mom.

Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
splitting it between my ILs just not sure which house we will do dinner at and then dessert at the others.
My family is in FL so it cuts down on the running around....we will only have 2 families instead of 3.

Re: Spin off- what are you doing for thanks giving?
I like to stay flexible. Probably won't decide what I'm doing until the day before. Maybe see my IL's but probably stick around home, cook a little bit & see my mom & brother briefly.
