OPK - daily timing

When is the best time of day to take the OPK? I am reading conflicting things on the internet and the ones I bought don't specify.

Do two a day to begin--

I do in AM and early afternoon.

I used to start testing CD10 around 4 or 5:00 and then starting CD 12, I would test twice a day--around noon and then again at night. I never used FMU, as I read that you typically surge later in the day and you don't want to miss it.

eta: I held urine and limited drinks for at least 2 hours prior to testing, which wasn't always easy!

I always started around cd8 and tested FMU and evening after holding for 4+hours.. Ironically I never caught my surge with FMU- just with the evening pee!

I think I am CD10 or 11 right now so I will try it tonight! I am just taking them to track my cycles. We are not TTC this month but I would like to know whats going on

I started testing at night and switched to 2pm. I find I get a better reading at 2pm.
