Another Car Question. Anyone drive a Santa Fe?
We're having our 2nd DC in March. And then we don't plan on any more kids in the near future, so we only need to fit 2 carseats. We also have a small dog who we sometimes take road trips with. We were hoping to keep our Chrysler 300 for awhile longer, but it's literally falling apart left and right and it doesn't pay for us to keep fixing it, so we're looking to buy a used car ASAP. I was thinking of the Tuscon, but DH thinks its a little too small. Anyone have a 2009-2011 Santa Fe? How are they?
I also like the Nissan Quest, but that may be more room than we need and DH is anti minivan. (I love Nissans!)

I think that a Santa Fe may be a little small for two car seats at least for a few years.
I fit three across once but on a day to day basis I think it might be tight.

I have a 2010 santa fe. I wouldnt go with the Tuscon IMO its going to prove to be too small storage wise. You can fit the 2 car seats I am sure but all my friends with CRVs or smaller SUVs are upgrading because of hte lack of trunk space specifically.
Anyway, I have 2 boys, a 6yo and a 2.5yo. I have NO problem with 2 car seats, I can even squeeze 3 if I need to but would probably upgrade if I was going to have DC#3.
Anyway, my older DS sits behind the driver in a booster, DS2 is behind the passenger in the Graco Nautulis. And I can fit another person in the middle, alittle squishy but I have sat back there when necessary.
The trunk if I have my stroller, a graco but similar in size to the citi min, it takes up 1/2 my trunk laying down. I have never felt my car was too small with 2 kids. I love my car!

Yes they are bringing that pack. They had it awhile ago and then did away with it. So you do have that option but it is a TIGHT 3rd row and I havent seen it but I would suspect when that seat is up there must be nearly NO trunk space.

i have the '09 Santa Fe and have no problems with 2 carseats.
If I need to, I can squeeze a person in the middle of those seats too.

I drive a 2013 Santa Fe and before that I had a 2004 Santa Fe.
I would not recommend the Tuscon - you will want the cargo space for 2 kids and the Santa Fe has more room in the back.
As for the back seat where the car seats go - I currently have 1 DD in a convertible car seat. There is room next to her seat for 2 people to sit. We are expecting DS this spring and there will be space between the two car seats for the dog. There is for our dog and her carrier.
I recommend the Mid-Island Hyundai dealership in Centereach as well as 112 Hyundai in Medford. We have purchased cars from both dealerships without any issues.

There is trunk space, but it is minimal at best. I sat in the new model at the car show last year. It's a nice car and the back seat can fold down when it's not in use.

I have the Kia Sorento. I liked it better than the Sante Fe (My mother has that one). The convenience package on the Sorento included the third row seat (60-40 split), heated seats, heated mirrors, back up camera, etc. My sisiter in law bought one too. I think it's plenty big for 2 car seats.

I have a Santa Fe 2011 I LOVE it. Although I'd prefer a Lexus (LOL) , I really enjoy it. I would however advise to NOT BUY from Atlantic Automall!!! I made that mistake and will never buy from them again. They are shysters!! It was hard for me to decide between that and the KIA.

I have a 2013 Santa Fe with the 3rd row seating. We have 3 kids. We got it with the captains chairs in the middel so my two boys (3 and 8 months) are there and my DD (6) is in the third row in a high back booster. I love the car. It has more than enough room and the third row has no issues fitting an adult. My mother sits back there when we go places together. The trunk is a little tight but I can easily fit a stroller back there and you can put one or both of the seats down for more room if necessary.
