New Windows
We will be replacing our windows within the year. Who did you use? How many windows did you replace? What was the cost?

I just had my windows replaced. 6 windows total. Cost under $1500. We used Unified. No complaints so far. We've definitely been warmer in the house since they were put in. We don't turn our heat past 65 now.

Wow that's great. I guess I was expecting it to be a lot more money. Thanks!

Re: New Windows
It depends on what type of windows you purchase. We just bought 2 anderson new construction windows and they were around 320 a piece and that is with my husband putting them in. Replacement windows are cheaper.

What is the difference between new construction or replacement?

New Construction generally go in when you replace the siding or tear the inside to the studs. Replacement windows fit in the exsisting space. I have replacement windows in my house now and we are slowly replacing with new construction as we do over each room. I don't like the way they look. I like casement windows. It is a personal preference.

This is the biggest issue right now. We've had to raise the temp on our thermostat so much this winter.

Re: New Windows
We had 15 windows replaced by renewel by Anderson for 10k we financed half at 2.9%. My husband insisted on on the because the Anderson were the only ones that hadn't failed on the house we bought. Huge difference wish they were cheaper

The previous homeowners replaced the windows a few at a time, the basement being the most recent. We do have 2 bay windows that are Anderson that need fixing. I have no clue how old they are but might have a rep or someone else come out to let us know an estimate.
