Thanks!

Re: Dropping a nap
How did you know? How did you push the first nap to later?
DS is almost 11 months. He has been refusing the afternoon nap for about a week. I was going to try pushing his first nap back since he normally naps from about 9:30-11:30 and the afternoon is way too long and he gets cranky.
But, he is exhausted by 9:30 and he really needed a nap at that time.

I tried and tried to keep the second nap but DD just wouldn't sleep no matter what I did. Like you said, she was a wreck by the end of the day. I started taking her out at her normal nap time for an hour or so, just riding in the stroller or a shopping cart while we window shopped to keep her awake. After a week or so she was fine staying up longer. It took a while but I eventually pushed her nap from 10:30 all the way till 1pm which has worked great for her for a year now.
