Can I ask when do we contact you, time frame wise?
Our offer was accepted, inspection done and contracts signed. Should we start now?
Thanks!
Now. You have to have insurance on the home the day you close. So you have to have prof of homeowners insurance before you will get a clear to close.
Be VERY careful. This number will make your debt to income ratio go UP so you have to make SURE the number is "acceptable" to your mortgage broker.

I would be happy to provide you with a quote. My company deals with over 15 different carriers. We write in the water, or miles away. I have issued policies for a lot of the women on this site :) Feel free to message me here or [email protected], or 631-650-4036.
Definitely call Jen! She'll find you the perfect carrier.
Here's a recent REVIEW I left for her.
Yes Jen from Bradley & Parker all the way! Using her for the new home I am buying. She made the process so easy!

You can get insurance pretty quickly. We started shopping 3 weeks ago, chose it 2 weeks ago, paid and finalized everything last week, and closed 2 days ago.
ETA: We finished everything with the mortgage before doing insurance. No reason to go crazy doing everything at the same time since the mortgage will likely determine when you can close anyway. Figure that out first and get your commitment.
