favorite cook and freeze meals....
I have to start getting ready for the dreaded back to school prep... dh won't be home a lot, and if it were just me I'd eat a lean cuisine or something random, but this is not the case.
So... what are you favorite meals to cook.... freeze the leftovers and they still taste yummy defrosted?

favorite cook and freeze meals....
Everything the pp said! I have a foodsaver so I always cook first, portion enough for one meal, and vacuum seal. Then I defrost in the fridge overnight and microwave to reheat.
Taco meat and red meat sauce are both versatile and reheat well. Chicken and beef chili, meatballs, pulled pork, meatloaf, lasagna, spiral ham, jambalaya, stuffed peppers, burrito casserole.

Not cook and freeze but the pampered chef deep covered baker is a god send. It can make whatever a slow cooker can make in about 20 minutes.

I'd add baked ziti to the list, beef stew, beef stroganoff and matzoh ball chicken noodle soup.

Eggplant Parm (with or without pasta)
Chicken Parm (with or without pasta)
Chili
Soups (I think I have 4 different kinds of soup in my freezer right now!)
Meatballs (with or without sauce)
Cheesy Chicken and Vegetable Quinoa Casserole
Lasagna

Thank you... I just never think to freeze any of these items... In fact, I only have raw frozen meat... which I always think about last minute to defrost.
