Short cycles...supplements?
So I just found out that my shorter cycles could make it tricky for me. Has anyone had success conceiving when your cycles are short, like 24 days? And if you had trouble, did you take supplements? What did you take?
Not sure if I should go to my OB yet or not...this was just our first cycle and I'm pretty sure I'm out.
TIA

Re: Short cycles...supplements?
Hi! I also have short cycles. Found out after I gave birth to my DS (who is now 2). They can be anywhere from 22-25 days, but, I found out from temping that I only had an 8 day luteal phase which is definitely not good. I did try a vitamin B complex to try and lengthen my LP which didn't seem to work. I went to my OB's office and they were no help, telling me that I must be O'ing earlier to have a 22 day cycle and to come back when I get pregnant and then they will test for progesterone levels. I doubt that I would even be able to get pregnant since with an 8 day LP an embryo wouldn't be able to implant! So I decided to go back to the RE who helped me conceive my DS (short cycles wasn't the issue at that time though), we are doing the same protocol... clomid, IUI, and crinone (progesterone supps) during my 2ww. It couldn't hurt to talk to your OB..maybe they can run tests and if you do have low progesterone they can put you on progesterone supps.
Best of luck!

Re: Short cycles...supplements?
A short cycle in and of itself is not a problem. A short LP would be a concern, though. Are you using OPKs or temping to confirm ovulation? As long as your LP is at least 10 days, there's nothing to worry about.
