question about rides

it probably depends on the kind of ride. if it's something with lots of falls and whatnot, i'd probably skip it.

you should probably see what your OB thinks.

Re: question about rides

You can go on the slower rides. Disney is actually prety good about most of the rides there. I would skip the test track, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and maybe the Buzz lightyear thing just in case though. Everything else is pretty mellow. You should be solid.

question about rides

I would also skip the Star Wars ride and any of the roller coasters, skip the tower of terror.... I would skip everything but things like it's a small world, honestly.

Definitely check with your OB to get their opinion. I'll be 10 weeks when we go and my OB said it was fine to go on rides.
I'm curious why PP said to skip test track? Is it really crazy? That was one of my Fast Pass selections : / I was really looking forward to it! Also why the Buzz Light Year one? Isnt that a kiddie ride?

Re: question about rides

I was just there a few weeks ago. There's a list of rides that pregnant women should not go on. let me see if i can find it in my email for you.
One of them is the safari - I went on it anyway and it was completely fine. I was 19 weeks.

Thanks! Hmm I'm surprised about the Safari also. Guess they want to be super careful so they arent found liable for anything!

Safari suprised me and I actually really wanted to go on it. I did call OB and she said that it should be fine:) How was animal kingdom? I was debating between there or seaworld?

Re: question about rides

Safari is totally fine. I do think they err on the side of caution.

Animal kingdom we only spent a half day at. There wasn't anything else in terms of rides that I went on, but it was hot so i didn't mind sitting in a patch of shade. DH and DD went on the kali river rapids, which is not recommended but the person at the fast pass line told me they leave it to our discretion. I opted not to, but DH said after that I would have been fine. DD enjoyed animal kingdom. We did not do sea world.

question about rides

The safari ride is bumpy and I know my RE told me to avoid bumpy activities especially early on. Thats probably why. Test track is definitely a skip for pregnant women. Its really rough on your body. You get whipped about more then on many roller coasters. Buzz Light Year spins you around but I think that would be fine unless your having morning sickness, then I would probably skip it as it could easily make you nauseous with the black lights and the spinning.

I would probably skip the tea cups as well.

Disney certainly has more options then most amusement parks for pregnant women. Have fun!

Also legally all rides have to have posted if its not ok for pregnant women, so make sure to read the signs.
