North Shore University Hospital Manhasset visitors?
Has anyone had a baby here very recently or know someone who has? Looking to see if they allowed the newborns siblings to visit. Thanks!

North Shore University Hospital Manhasset visitors?
I gave birth a month ago and my daughter was not allowed to visit. No kids under 16. Don't know if it's changed since.

Interesting. My friend had her baby there in Mid September. Both her children were allowed in her room (photos of them together in her bed) and to hold the baby.

As far as I understand, hospitals in the area aren't allowing under 16 to visit bc of flu & entrovirus circulating
My mil works in LIJ & they've been very strict

Nope, still no visitors under 16 at the North Shore hospitals (LIJ and Manhasset) due to the flu and enterovirus. Not sure about Winthrop or other places.

I think this protocol was put into place around the 1st or 2nd week in October. I, too, had a friend who delivered at LIJ in late September and her other children (3 and 5) were allowed to come up to the room to visit.

North Shore University Hospital Manhasset visitors?
I had my baby there on 10/16 and my 4 year old was not allowed to visit. I also have a friend that works there and she said the rule is still in effect and will remain that way through flu season.

Just an update: the ban was lifted recently, and siblings are now allowed.
My DDs visited yesterday!
