WWYD - Xmas card related
I had some downtime at work the past few weeks and used it to design these really beautiful Christmas cards. On the back I wrote something along the lines of "Merry Christmas from our soon-to-be family of three. Baby Girl XXXX arriving April 2015."
Now I'm having paranoid second thoughts. Am I being ridiculous? I don't want to jinx anything, God forbid, but at the same time I'm sure everything is fine. So far all test results are good and I have no cause for concern, I just don't want to do anything to jinx it. We know its a girl because we had the panorama test done. I'm 17 weeks now and have the anatomy scan on 12/4, but I'd like to order these cards and get them ordered before then.
WWYD? Change the wording or leave it as is? TY!!

I think its fine to send out but if you are concerned that the gender is incorrect then just take out "Girl".

Re: WWYD - Xmas card related
go for it. I'm doing something similar but having DC hold a sign which is super cute I'll be 12 weeks exactly when people start receiving the cards.

I think it is cute, but if you are having second thought then I would go with your gut.

Well, it's not exactly a secret, most people already know! Just something about putting it in writing that makes me feel like I'm jinxing it. Not just the gender, the whole thing.

I'm doing something very similar and had a 50% off coupon code that expired last Friday night so I went ahead and ordered. Our anatomy scan isn't until 12/9 (I'm 17 weeks also) and I signed the card, George, Alison and Coming in April 2015 Baby (our last name)". I thought for a second I was jinxing everything but then realized I was being paranoid for no reason. Everything has come back perfectly and I don't have any reason to panic. I couldn't pass up the cards for $1.10 each!

Exactly!! I did kind of the same thing. I purchased the cards to get the sale, but the site I used let me wait to finish personalizing them. I can finish them whenever, but want to get them printed sooner rather than later.
I guess it makes no difference since everyone knows anyway. It's like I just need something to worry about, and I really don't!

I'm SO superstitious and I think this is fine! If everything's been great so far, there's no reason to worry. If anything, you SHOULD be celebrating!
I plan on doing something very similar on my holiday cards too!

Re: WWYD - Xmas card related
I'm due April 4. I've made it public on Facebook and did a gender reveal, and I'm doing a card for Christmas also announcing it by featuring my dog, whose been the star of our last 4 Christmas Cards.
I am 20 weeks so not much ahead of you. I think it's fine.

Re: WWYD - Xmas card related
I think it's fine. Especially since you are pretty far along & you said most people know already. I know someone who did something similar but she was only 6 weeks along when she sent them out! Everything worked out fine but I remember thinking it was super early to be announcing it that way. But it's up to your own comfort level! I am super private about my pregnancy (probably to a bizarre extent) so it's not something I'd want to do but I think it's such a cute idea!

Re: WWYD - Xmas card related
I'm due in April, as well. Not including it on the card. Not my thing. Not paranoid per se, but just not my thing. JMO, I think it's kind of cheesy.
