Sleep sack users, come in....
DS is 10 mos and starting to pull up in his crib. He LOVES his sleepsack and practically cannot sleep without it, but I'm afraid of him getting tangled up when he tries to stand (can already see it happening) - what did you do when it was time to transition?

Sleep sack users come in
DD1 loved her sleep sacks. She used to walk around her crib in them! She stayed in them until we transitioned her to her toddler bed a little before she turned 2. She managed really well in those things!

They do...I was thinking about trying them but I imagine his feet would get cold. Socks are not an option yet because he just pulls them right off and feetie pjs are too much with a sleepsack. What a pickle! LoL

Sleep sack users, come in....
I put my ds in footie pj with the sleepsack (with feet openings) every night. They make a sack that is almost a t shirt material. Very thin. I also have a fleece one for cold nights. They also make footie pjs in thin material (not only fleece) so doubling up wouldnt be a problem.

They're fine--they don't get tangled up. My DD wore them until she was over 2YO and would shuffle around in it.

Same here and DD is not exactly well coordinated. She walked in them all the time.

Get the early walker ones. They have leg holes so they can stand.

Sleep sack users, come in....
Older DD used them for quite a while after she was walking. I think she used them until about 2 yo. My niece used them until she was 3. I would just take them off in the morning once I got her out of her crib. In fact I used the sleep sack until she was in a toddler bed/ full bed and then I Just used blankets.

They are fine in them - I think we used sleep sacks until they were 2 or older. Never an issue.

Sleep sack users, come in....
I put my dd in an "early walker" sleepsack that has openings for her feet. I usually have her wear footed pjs underneath.

My DD is 20 months and she loves her sleep sack! We have only used the regular ones, not the ones with the feet holes and she has managed just fine. I love those things!

They make feet ones but I still use the sack at 2. They walk in them like Maggie Simpson. It might make it harder to climb out now too.

Re: Sleep sack users, come in....
My DS will be 2 yrs old next month and he STILL sleeps in a regular sleepsack, he loves it!! He figured out very early on how to stand up and walk around the crib while he's in it.
ETA - My DS HATES feetie pj's and won't keep socks on so the sleepsacks that have openings weren't an option for us.

Re: Sleep sack users, come in....
we switched to the ones with the feet holes when he started standing. They are awesome
He will be 2 in a couple of week and just last week decided he no longer wanted to use it any more. He insists on a blanket now!

This exactly! Dd is almost 2 1/2 and she's still in them!! Dh calls it the magic cape bc she knows it's bedtime and calms down when we put it on. I love them! Dc #2 will be in them as well.
They only sell the ones with foot holes online as far as I know. I believe I got mine from Amazon.

Re: Sleep sack users, come in....
DD wore a regular sleep sack until 2.5. She stood up in the crib, walked around in the regular one just fine. lol
We finally put her in the walker one with the feet holes and she wears socks or the fee tie PJs. She's nice and cozy. She's a sleep sack addict.
