Hi ladies, hoping you can assist....
I am VERY interested in getting into law enforcement. Something I always wanted to do since I can remember being young. My only concern is what I hear from some of those I know who already do it (guys and gals). I'm told that women have a hard time in the profession for a few reason. One, is that you have to surpass the expectation that you're not equal or as good as the men on the job. Another reason is the harassment that females are sometimes subjected to....usually of a sexual nature. While I feel in my heart that I would love this profession, I certainly do not want to commit to a life of misery if it's that bad. If any of you can help or shed any perspectives on it, it would be helpful to me. I totally understand if you don't want to post publicly, so feel free to FM if you want. Thank you so much!!!!
