Fence / Gate Question
We're getting quotes on a new fence. Right now, we do not have a gate to our backyard. The company is going to quote me the price for:
Double Gate (Each 3 feet wide) Single Gate (5 feet wide)
Outside of price, which do you prefer? Why?

Fence / Gate Question
We opted for the double gate. I have seen more crooked single gates than double gate. They probably weren't installed properly but I didn't want to have to deal with it down the road.

Fence / Gate Question
We have one of each on each side. The wider gate is easier to get bigger things in and out of the yard.

Re: Fence / Gate Question
Double gate. 1, the overall opening is bigger, which may come in handy some time. 2, each gate is lighter, so it doesn't put as much pressure on the support post, so it's less likely to droop. 3, most of the time, you don't need a 5' opening, so only using one of the 3' gates is more convenient.
