Ruptured Ovarian Cyst
So I had an IUI on 5/29; last thursday I started spotting dark brown. very light. but continued to spot until sunday.
Monday morning I woke up with horrific pains in my side and heavy bleeding. It was too early to know if the IUI worked but I was panicking. b/c my periods are normally not like that. and it was too early for AF anyway.
So I went to work but left to go to the ER b/c it got worse. Spent half the day there and got an internal sono.
Dr. calls yesterday to say that I had a ruptured cyst. so thats what was causing the pain. He's not sure if the bleeding is from AF (maybe early), the hormones, the cyst. Its still too early to know if the IUI worked.
this is frustrating as hell. Im still spotting and bleeding off and on.
anyone have a ruptured cyst and have bleeding from it?

I'm surprised they didnt see a cyst at any of your sonos leading up to your IUI. Unless it grew and burst that quick?
Many years ago my gyno thought I had a ruptured cyst. No bleeding though; just the most intense pain EVER.

A ruptured cyst can release beta hcg, so it can look like you are pregnant & not be.
But... My sister had a ruptured cyst during the same cycle as her pregnancy.
It just confuses everything. Sorry.

thanks. I think it would be too early to tell. im not even 2 weeks out from the procedure.
they did draw blood, but im thinking that will not be accurate.
ohh..and i have a UTI on top of all this siht too..
