Tummy tuck
For those that have had it how bad was the recovery? How many days were you in pain and/or attached to a drainage bag?
Lastly are you happy with the way your belly button looks lol.
Also who did you use?
If FM is easier please feel free. Thanks so much!

Re: Tummy tuck
I don't know about a tummy tuck, because I have not had one.
But I highly recommend Dr. James Romanelli - he is a board certified plastic surgeon. I trust him, I have used him, I feel that he does impeccable work.
I know that he really specializes in the "mommy makeover" which includes a tummy tuck and usually a breast lift as well. I have seen before and after pics on his site and in his office that are truly jaw-dropping. Consults are free. I think once you meet with him you'll see why I feel he's so great.

Tummy tuck
I did not have a tummy tuck but had a breast reduction and agree that dr romanelli is the way to go. I would not go to anyone else if I ever decide to have another procedure

My mom had a tummy tuck from him. She stayed overnight and then released. High tolerance for pain so for her it was easy. Cant say that for others.

Wow. I went to the site and those are amazing before and after pics. Anyone know on average how much the mommy makeover runs?

I think because a tummy tuck is a lot more involved a surgery than a breast aug or lift. I would imagine at least....

Tummy tuck
My friend paid $8K for a tummy tuck in Miami. She had to stay there a few weeks though so that added to the cost + flights, etc. Lucky for her she had family to stay with down there. Her stomach looks awesome too.
I'm totally down to do a mommy makeover once I'm done having kids.

Re: Tummy tuck
Romanelli did my tummy tuck and breast lift/augmentation 2 years ago. Combined I paid over $20k.
I don't remember exact amounts but lift and augmentation was about $9,500, and tummy tuck was about $11,000.
Most people don't know I've had this done. Only a handful of family members and a couple of friends know.
ETA: To answer the original questions, I did not have a drainage bag. I stayed overnight and came home the next day. I was back at work in about 2 weeks. Boobs were relatively painless. The tummy hurt a lot more. Plus, I got a bad infection at the incision, which set me back a while. I'm happy to have a flat stomach now, but the infection was probably the worst thing I've dealt with in my life.

Re: Tummy tuck
Once my youngest is a little bit older, I plan on paying a visit to Dr. Romanelli. I'm in need of a tummy tuck and lift/augmentation. I'm expecting it to cost around 20+k.
RealSelf.com is a very useful website if you haven't visited it yet.

Same exact thing here :) do it! Best thing I ever did for myself. Anyone who has had a c section, the recovery is very similar.

Tummy tuck
Thought about it, but decided not to do it even though I think my OB may have taken some layers of fat out or something when she did my csection 2 weeks ago because my tummy hasn't looked this flat since high school.
