My dd is 5 n i still have one in her room. She calls us if she has to use the bathroom. However, sometimes she calls us for random things just so we go back in and give her attention

My son is 5 and a half and I still use it...I won't hear him without it. Don't plan on stopping until I am ready. Between fans, white noise machines, and now the a/c, I don't hear him if he is crying/sick/having a night terror...

I haven't!!..............and my DD is almost 7!!

She's always been lazy when she's in bed, she won't really EVER get up for anything, she always just calls us. Crazy, I know, but I wouldn't hear her calling otherwise. My DS is 2.5 yrs old and we still are using the monitor with him too.

I stopped about a year ago when DS turned 5. He's right down the hall from me and he knows how to get up and knock on our door if he needs something. It was time to cut the cord I found I was depending on it when I really didn't need to.

We still use it for our 3 kids. Our boys (5&3) share a room. Our 5yo wakes up with nightmares from time to time. And our 3yo only stopped wearing pullups at night somewhat recently, so he sometimes gets up to go to the bathroom and he calls for us because he doesn't like to go alone during the night. Our monitor has the intercom feature, which is great, because often I can just talk them through whatever the problem is without getting up. I don't really have a plan for when we will stop using it, I think we'll just know when we don't need it anymore. We usually don't turn it on when they first go to bed, just when we go to bed for the night.

My DD is almost 2 and I joke that we will be using our monitor until she moves out. She is on a seperate floor and across the house. I can't hear anything. I told DH that I am going to keep the moitor on when she is a teenager so I can make sure she doesn't sneak out!!

i stopped when DS was 4 and thats only because we moved and the monitor was packed away in a box somewhere

DS is 5 and DD is 3.5 and I have it scan between both rooms. I have the newborn in our room for now. DH thinks I am crazy for continuing with the monitor but I can't help myself.

I use them still (boys are 2.5 & 8 months). We have a 2 story house- I can't hear either of them downstairs, nor can I hear them in my bedroom. If I'm in the office upstairs, I can hear them and then I won't keep their monitors. I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon. DS1 knows if he needs us he can tell us through the monitor and we can talk back to him. He has a gate in front of his room so he can't get out (whole other story!) and the camera helps him communicate with us! I love my cameras! I don't think I'd use them if I could hear them and we were on the same floor always though.

We stopped using a monitor for my DS when we moved him to a full size bed into another room, at about 2.5 years old...we just never bothered to put the camera up.
