C-section questions
Hi girls....sorry I feel like I've been posting rapid fire questions the past few days!
Does anyone know if NSUH gives those belly binders for after a section? If not I need to order.
Also, for the btdt moms, what kind of pants did you wear after? The seam on maternity leggings would be very close to he incision. I was thinking of getting some XL yoga pants so they won't have the seam.
Thank you

C-section questions
Black loose fitting pants that sit high on the waist. My incision is pretty low.

C-section questions
The incision is actually pretty low you should be ok with the leggings. My last 2 sections NSUH did not provide belly binders.

Re: C-section questions
My friend just had a c-section there, and she asked the doctor for a belly binder, and they gave her one. I plan to ask this time around.
Incision is low. I could only wear high-waisted grannie undies after my c-section, and sweatpants with high waist. Yes, the seam of maternity pants where it went from normal fabric to the stretchy over-belly fabric rubbed against the incision. I also needed to get the gross thick hospital feminine pads - the thin ones I usually love also rubbed against the incision.

Re: C-section questions
It's up to your OB to prescribe a belly binder for you, not up to the hospital.
I wore regular leggings and maternity leggings after my c-section. No jeans or anything tight, but anything comfy is fine. You'll be stitched up and it'll be covered with medical tape so it's not like your pants are sitting right on top of an open incision.

C-section questions
My incision is so low that even my regular underwear wouldn't come near it so I don;t think any of your pants should be an issue. I was mostly wearing yoga pants etc but that was just because that is what I wear when I don't have to be at work so it was my typical wardrobe.
I didn't have mine at NSUH but I bought one on my own and it was not comfortable and IMO didn't do anything....granted I didn't wear it all the time.

Re: C-section questions
I was so swollen due to my pre-eclampsia that none of my clothes fit. While I was in the hospital DH went to Walmart and bought me men's fleece sweatpants with a drawstring in size XL. They were perfect.
