1. What happened at your 6 week appointment with your OBGYN?

2. When were you given the ok to work out again? I'm DYING to start running.

3. This may sound dumb, but how can you tell when your stitches dissolved?

4. When were you able to go back on birth control? Was that discussed at your 6 week appointment?

Moms that had a c-section...I have a few questions for you.

1.) I'm so bad with remembering weeks - I don't think anything significant happened at 6 week appt. Just a general check-up?

2.) 8 weeks, but slowly - no marathon running

3.) I think I had staples and then that tape thing. It just kind of wore off in the shower.

4.) I BF, so I waited but I think they offered me a minipill to take if I BF. Yes, it was discussed.

Overall I am feeling pretty good. I think I did well with the recovery. DS is 3 weeks old now.

They did a pelvic exam, I was given the ok to excerise and I went back on the pill.

I had staples, not stitches so they were removed 2 weeks pp

At the 6 week appt. they do an internal to make sure everything is healing correctly. They will discuss birth control. If your bf you can take the mini pill other wise they will give you a list of your other options. I went back on the regular pill right after my my 6 week visit. My dr specially said don't start of running or anything extremely intense. He said to work back into a routine for exercise. I also had a very rough recovery the 2nd time with my incision opening. I don't know how you can tell your stitches are dissolved but by 6 weeks everything was back to normal for me.

He made sure my incision healed properly and cleared me for all activities. I didn't get an internal.

2. When were you given the ok to work out again? I'm DYING to start running.

He cleared all activity at that appt.

I had internal stitches and glue, so I wasn't able to tell.

4. When were you able to go back on birth control? Was that discussed at your 6 week appointment?

If you're not BF, I believe you can go back on after 6w.

1. What happened at your 6 week appointment with your OBGYN? Weighed me, took urine sample, internal exam, pap smear, and breast exam (I guess b/c I usually get my annual exam that same month so I was due).

2. When were you given the ok to work out again? I was given the okay at 6 weeks. I've been working out on the elliptical. Just a warning that running might be hard for you. It bothers my incision when I do too much jumping around.

4. When were you able to go back on birth control? Was that discussed at your 6 week appointment? At 6 weeks I was given a prescription.

2. When were you given the ok to work out again? I'm DYING to start running. 6 weeks but I never would have been able to run at 6 weeks and I think I had an amazing recovery. I would start slow.

3. This may sound dumb, but how can you tell when your stitches dissolved? I had staples and internal stitches so if you only had internal ones you don't know.

I am never allowed on BCP or any hormone BC so it was never discussed. But mine is due to clotting issues.

2. When were you given the ok to work out again? I'm DYING to start running. I was giving the clear I believe at that point if I remember. But light exercise nothing crazy. Also be careful if you are BF and running. I am a runner too and the bouncing can effect your milk ducts so you need a supportive sports bra.

I got the merina at this appointment they will discuss your options. I was BF so I was limited in my choices and I would not remember to take the pill

3. All I ever had were steristrips. A few were still stuck on so he pulled them off.

4. BF and back on the pill (the mini pill or low hormone pill I forget the exact name).

Regular checkup with pap smear. my Dr checked the incision and told me it was all dissolved.

I rubbed my finger on the stitches and when they wern't bumpy anymore i knew they were dissolved. Also you will not have black stitching on your incision anymore

6 week appt. If you're BFing just know it might make your milk supply drop a little.

2. When were you given the ok to work out again? I was told I could begin walking on my treadmill (no incline) at 3 weeks depending on how i felt.

3. This may sound dumb, but how can you tell when your stitches dissolved? I don't remember, I think I just looked one day and they were gone.

4. When were you able to go back on birth control? Was that discussed at your 6 week appointment?

I went in at 2 weeks to make sure my incision was healing correctly, he spoke to me about it then but because I am an IF patient so I didn't think I needed a pill to prevent pregnancy, my body does a good job of that on it's own
